VN Express in Fort Saskatchewan

Always amazing, I've order multiple items from the menu and never been disappointed. We have cravings for their food specifically all the time. The service is top notch and the food even a step above (how is that possible?)This is our go to place!!!

Delicious, downtown, nice decorations, family run restaurant

Stopped in for dinner tonight with the whole family. Even my picky eaters loved everything they tried. The food was so fresh and the service was amazing. We will all definitely be back in again soon. It is our new favorite restaurant.

I love their pork & shrimp salad rolls with peanut sauce. My fave!

Always great service and tasty food

I’ve been to this restaurant dozens of times, I get the same thing every time (23 with rice) and it’s definitely one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Food is always fresh, service is so welcoming and caring (shout-out to the waiter Jon). Always left full and satisfied, my favourite place in Fort Saskatchewan by far.

The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly. The vermicelli bowls are my favorite and the salad rolls are great too!

To the guy who gave 2 stars:You're complaining about a vermicelli bowl costing $12.45? And you say the meat has no fat or gristle, and the vegetables were fresh. You say it's 50 percent more than average prices in the city? So that means average price is $8.30. Wow, I'd like to know where those places are. That's cheaper than a McDonald's meal! These guys try SO hard to give every patron the absolute best experience, while earning an honest living. Careless bad reviews can affect them greatly. 2 stars? Come on. Think about this before saying bad stuff about people and hurting their reputation. Why are most of your reviews 1 or 2 stars? Maybe it's not them...

Delicious! We haven't even left the restaurant and I am compelled to write this. We were greated with warm welcome and happy smiles. The service was good, the food is savory and plentiful. This is also a great place for families (as I watch the owner surprise the kids at the table beside us with ice-cream). Stop in, you definitely will not be disappointed

And Edit again: Gave them a second change, and they're back to five stars. Must have been settling in on my previous visit.Edit: Have they changed management? Their food went from fantastic to marginal recently. A huge shame.Good food, good price, good service. Popular at lunch. I'm surprised there are no other reviews. Food was overcooked and dry and largely flavorless but quite peppery (strange for vietnamese food) Service was prompt and attentive but doesn't make up for the food personally. I would go to Pho Hoan Pasteur instead if you are in Fort Saskatchewan.

First visit.... the wonton soup is very good!

WE have lived in Fort Sask for 23 years and always frequented the other Chinese Rest. Recently we ordered from them and were very disappointed with the food and portion size being reduced,. We decided to try VN Express and were totally surprised with the food. The soup was very fresh and tasty as was the entire meal. What a great surprise to find this place. the portions are very generous ( one dish will easily fill two people ) and prices are reasonable ( one dish that feeds 2 people for $15 ) The decor is clean and basic with excellent personal service.If you want a very good dining experience -- try VN Express.

This locally owned, casual Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Fort Saskatchewan has wonderful vermicelli bowls and salad rolls, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Recipes are both familiar and unique -- they definitely put a custom spin on some of the flavourings and I mean that in a positive way. Eating here is a far better experience than just going to some run-of-the-mill "Oodle Noodle" style chain joint, and their prices are comparable (perhaps even more reasonable for the large servings you get), so why not support this distinctive local spot?

Pho at this place brings shame to the great nation of Vietnam, its wonderful people and its rich culinary history. Whatever they serve is not pho. It's boiled water with no salt. I have had bad phos before but this one wins the Razzie award for the worst pho ever cooked. STAY AWAY!

I come here so often it's not even funny. The waiter, Jon, is amazing and very personable, the food is delicious. No complaints!

Today was my 6th visit. I have been there when it is quiet and when every seat is full. Service is always prompt and food comes in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere is great and the dining room is very clean. I always get an order of the salad rolls, #2, as they are spectacular. A must order in my opinion. My wife had the special war wanton soup, #18, it was flavourful and very big. More than enough to satisfy at lunch. I had the chicken vermicelli bowl, #21, it was so good. Everything treated fresh and delicious. The green tea was excellent. Highly recommend coming here for lunch!

Meat was very dry overcooked or just old. Salad rolls had boiled chicken very dry as well. Ginger beer had 5 mm of oil in the bottom and so dry could barely eat it. Flavors are just not there and I have had a ton of Vietnamese food this was by far near the bottom unfortunately.

Yes. It's good ! I ordered gingerbeef and tempura shrimp. Very good 😊! The shrimp were perfect! The ginger beef is more salty and gingery then sweet. Yummy 😋!

This was our first time going to VN, the service was fast and friendly! The spring rolls arrived quickly and where very flavourful. Main course was so yummy and a very generous portions! Me and my partner will be returning for the great overall experience at VN Express.

Will forever be my favourite place to eat, amazing food full of flavour. Great atmosphere! Such Kind people, I’ve tried all the asian/viatnamese/chinese food places in the fort and this is the only place worth going out for. Enough to give a 10$ tip on a 30$ order!

We were looking for a good place to eat and this one has good reviews so we thought we'd try it out. Did not disappoint! I had a noodle stir fry and loved it. My husband had a noodle soup dish and loved it. Also had a couple appitizers, everything was super tasty, full of flavour! If I'm ever back in town I will go again for sure!

When I was firstly came at this place I was quite in hurry. But, the food they served was amazing I wanted to eat more and more. Extremely delicious food and outstanding service in this area.

I was so disappointed with the food here. The sauce in my lemongrass chicken tasted like it came out of a bottle/jar and wasn’t freshly made. The chicken itself was dry and stale; it tasted as though it was reheated in the sauce. The spring rolls were obviously deep fried in reused oil as it had the characteristic smell and taste of old oil. Plus I was reassured that they could do veggie rolls without the ground pork but one bite was all it took to see and taste the ground pork. The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because the gentleman who took my order was friendly and the food portion was big ... if only I could have eaten it .

Some of the best Vietnamese I've ever had. Also the owner/server could be the most polite human being to have ever walked the earth.
